James Richard Schroeder, 81, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Friday July 4, 2025 while at Embrace Hospice House of South Carolina in Myrtle Beach. He was born on February 22, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Henry & Edith Schroeder.
Along with his parents, Jim is reunited in passing with his sister, Judi Scott; and his son in-law, Andy Schultz.
Jim was a hardworking man with a heart of gold. He was a skilled advertising and promoting director for Robert Bosch Power Tool Company for over 40 years. Following his well-deserved retirement, Jim was able to enjoy his true passion- golf! Jim found peace with the sun on his shoulders and his favorite nine-iron in his hand. Jim was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed cheering on the White Sox. Above all else, Jim loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish Jim’s memory are his adoring wife of over 59 years, Gail Schroeder of Murrells Inlet; their children, Debra Tucker and husband, Cal, Joanne Cowin and husband, Steve & Kimberly Schultz and boyfriend, Kevin Gardner; grandchildren, Austin, Emma, Ellie, Grace, Drew & Taylor; as well as a loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held privately.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers- go golfing! Enjoy the peace that Jim felt on the course.
