James J Barth, Jr.

James “Jim” Joseph Barth Jr. of Murrells Inlet, SC formerly of Charleston WV, passed away November 10, 2020 after a lengthy illness. He was Catholic by faith. Jim was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 23, 1951. He was the son of the late James Joseph Barth Sr. and Joyce (Burlingame) Barth.

Jim was previously employed and retired from Georgetown County Assessors Office. He was formerly a partner in Barth Real Estate Family Appraisals along with his father and brother in Charleston, WV. Jim graduated from Sanford University in Berkley, CA. He was passionate about golf and was an avid Notre Dame football fan.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Sue Barth of Murrells Inlet; sons, James Joseph Barth III (Joey) of Burleson, Texas; Brian A. Barth of Elkview, WV; stepdaughter, Megan M. Given of Camp Hill, PA; six grandchildren, Delani, Lexi, Nick, Tori, Emmylou and Brooke; brothers, Jeff and John Barth of Charleston, WV; sisters, Judy Anderson and Jennifer Reese both of Charleston, WV. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Barth.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
