Jacqueline L. Worthington

Jacqueline L. Worthington, 86, passed away peacefully Thursday January 1, 2026, at her home in Murrells Inlet, SC with her loving husband by her side.

Formerly of Shamong NJ, Jacquelin was born in Montcoal, WV the daughter of the late Jim and Laura Combs.

An avid golfer, Jacqueline enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, singing and cooking for family and friends. Jacqueline was a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church where she especially enjoyed volunteering at Fr. Pat’s Kitchen.

In addition to her parents, Jacqueline is preceded in death by her, daughter, Paula Worthington; sister in law, Betty Eline and her husband Gene Eline; brother and Vietnam War Vet, Richard “Dick” Combs and niece, Dr. Lisa Eline.

Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph P. Worthington of Murrells Inlet, SC; son, Chris Worthington of Lindenwald, NJ; grandson, Christopher Nelson and his wife Laura of West Deptford, NJ; grandson, Shane Worthington of Fort Bragg, NC; great grandson, Liam Nelson;  daughter in law, Debbie Worthington of Hammonton, NJ; cousin, Rene Hallsterad of NC; nephew, Dr. Eugene A. Eline, Jr and his wife, Dr. Mary Jo Eline of Salisbury, NC.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday January 28, 2026, at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church in Pawleys Island, SC.  Interment will follow in the church columbarium.
