Imelda Singleton Mills

Imelda Singleton Mills, 81, passed away March 18, 2019, at Embrace Hospice House.  After traveling with her husband in the military, they made their home in Socastee.  She was the daughter of the late John and Iverine Singleton.  She was predeceased by her husband, Johnnie Roscoe Mills, Sr. after more than forty years of marriage. 

Imelda is survived by her three children, Johnnie R. Mills, Jr. of Aynor; Greg Mills of Socastee; and Debbie Johnson of Conway.  In addition, she is survived by three granddaughters: Jennifer Wickline (Tony), Christina Jackson, and April McHugh (Kevin).  Surviving great grandchildren Maggie, Layla and Brady Harrelson; Dakota Wickline (Ivy) and Jordan Wickline, and new great grandson, Rhett Wickline. 

Imelda was a dedicated member of Philadelphia Church of God and enjoyed annual retreats with her church members. 

Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, Murrells Inlet.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mona, Windy, Patti, Karrie and all of the staff of Embrace Hospice and Embrace Hospice House who provided endless support and comfort.
