Gregory Orsimarsi Obituary

Gregory Rocco Orsimarsi, 68, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 27, 1957, Gregory was a man of deep feeling, fierce loyalty, and unwavering authenticity.

He was the beloved son of the late Alighiero Rocco Orsimarsi and Helen Ann Wieczorek. He was predeceased by his second former wife, Jane Claire Ramey, and is survived by his first former wife, Linda Jane Orsimarsi.

Gregory’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his children:

Jennifer Lynn Mills (John Michael Mills)

Gregory Rocco Orsimarsi II (Frances Carolyn Orsimarsi)

Stephanie Ann Wolf (Ryan Michael Wolf)

Brittany Anne Baker (Matt Francis Baker)

He was a loving grandfather to Sloan Elizabeth Orsimarsi, Riley Ann Orsimarsi, Emerson Rally Wolf, Elliott Rocco Wolf, Owen Matthew Baker, and Olivia Jane Baker.

He is also survived by his sisters, Elena Marie Wire (Harry Wire) and Maryjane Morabito (Richard Morabito), as well as his brothers, Thomas Orsimarsi, and Leonard William Wieczorek.

Gregory had a heart as large as his presence. He could fix or build anything  and was always willing to lend a hand. He found peace near the water, fishing whenever he could, and passion in the stands, cheering on Coastal Carolina Baseball. His booming voice was a familiar—and often formidable—presence at games, especially when letting umpires or rival teams know exactly how he felt.

 “BALL, BALL, BALL”

But above all, Gregory loved his family deeply. He showed up for others, gave generously of his time and talents, and sought to help when help was needed.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9th 2025, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet, SC. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.

We find peace in these words from Psalm 23:

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures.

He leads me beside still waters.

He restores my soul.

… and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

In our grief, we remember a man who felt deeply, lived authentically, and loved fiercely. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he so dearly cherished.
