Gregory Ecklund Obituary

Gregory Scott Ecklund, age 68, of Myrtle Beach, passed away peacefully Tuesday November 23, 2021 at the Embrace Hospice House.

Formerly of Oak Ridge, TN, Mr. Ecklund was born in Bangor, ME the son of the late Irving G. Ecklund and Sue McHenry. He was a proud United States Navy veteran who loved to play golf. IN addition to his parents, Mr. Ecklund is preceded in death by a special aunt, Ruth “Doot” Cary and his nieces, Tiffany Cable and Kimi Ellis.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Deanna Richardson Ecklund of Myrtle Beach, SC; lifelong best friend and sister, Linda (Rick) Ellis of Rockwood, TN; sisters in law, Janice (Mark) Combs, Lisa (Eddie) Banks and Karen (Eugene) Hucks all of Myrtle Beach, SC; nieces and nephews, Will, Kelley, Savanna, Tyler, Christopher, Ashley, Crystal and his special great nephews and nieces, Cooper and Ellie, Todd, Trinity and Cat.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
