Glenda Lee Burkholder

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glena Lee Burkholder. Who departed this life on June 15, 2025.

Glenda was a devoted companion, sister, nanny and friend. Whose unwavering love touched everyone who knew her.

Glenda lived a life defined by compassion, was a woman of deep faith and devotion, always willing to lend a listening ear, and gave fruitful advice in return. Her warm smile and gentle humor made everyone feel at peace in her presence.

She is survived by her, Brother Russell Toms II and his wife Suzanne. Along with her, companion Mark Fry. They will always miss her and carry her cherished memory in their hearts forever.

Glenda is preceded in passing by her parents Russell M. Toms and Georgia Lee Toms, As well as her late, husband Terry Lee Burkholder.

Glenda had quite the accomplished life; she was a Volunteer EMT for Long Meadow Volunteer Fire Company, and an award winning store manager for Sheetz Convenience stores in Hagerstown Maryland. She was also a loving Nanny to numerous children in Hagerstown and Pawley’s Island South Carolina. She truly was a second mother to these children, who’s lives she had a loving and meaningful impact on.

Glenda found joy in the simple things in life, Annual family gathering at the beach, the laughter of friends and family, the beauty and bounty of god’s creation including her fur baby mille. A light for all has dimmed on earth but has brighten in heaven.

Private family burial will held in Hagerstown Maryland at later date.
