Glen G. Curtis, 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 28, 2020 at his home in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. He was born on October 30, 1948 in Staten Island, New York to the late George L. & Sophia (Budnick) Curtis.
Glen proudly served our country in the United States Navy during Vietnam and was the first President of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 421. He was a true patriot and a man with a heart as big as his 6' frame. Following his honorable discharge, Glen went on to be a skilled and dedicated mechanic for Consolidated Edison for many years. Upon his well-deserved retirement, Glen was able to enjoy the finer things in life. In his free time, Glen loved spending time with his friends and family. He was a classic car enthusiast who also had a love for boats and fishing. Glen staying active in his community and took on the role as the President of his home owner's association board. Above all else, Glen loved making memories with his friends and family. He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish Glen's memory is his beloved wife of over 46 years, Mrs. Carol Ann Curtis of Surfside Beach, Glen loved his wife and treated her as if they were newly weds. Glen is also survived by his sister, Connie Cannon; his adoring furbaby, Bubba; and a multitude of supportive friends and neighbors
A Celebration of Glen's life will be held at a later date.
