Gertrude Anne Bealer

Gertrude Anne Bealer, 80, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, formerly of Atco, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026.

Born July 21, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Smith and Gertrude Esenwein Smith.

Gertrude enjoyed quilting, creative arts, and walking along the beach. She was very active in her church and found great joy in fellowship and music. She was a devoted member of Socastee United Methodist Church and participated in the "Stitchers" quilting group. Earlier in life, she sang in the choir at Atco Presbyterian Church.

Gertrude was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years, John Bealer, and her sons, John and Joseph Bealer.

She is survived by her devoted brother, Alfred Smith and his wife Dottie; her sister, Nancy Hobbs and her husband Donold; and her sister, Ruth Fluharty and her husband Bob. She is also survived by her loving sons, Robert Bealer and Michael Bealer; daughter-in-law Ellen Bealer; and her cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie, Demetri, and Connor. She is further survived by many other beloved family members and friends.
