George Edward Kimberly, Jr.

George Edward Kimberly, Jr., 80, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side on Monday June 10, 2019 at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on August 6, 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late George Edward Kimberly, Sr. & Margaret Spinneweber Kimberly.

George was an outgoing man with a heart of gold. Following his honorable discharge from the military, George went on to work and retire from Matthews International Casket Company as a skilled maintenance foreman. Upon his relocation to sunny Myrtle Beach, George loved feeling the wind in his hair when he rode his Yamaha motorcycles. When George wasn’t wood working, racing his bike, or playing cards, he enjoyed time spent with his friends and family. George will be truly missed for the amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend he was.

Left to cherish George’s memory are his beloved wife of 62 wonderful years, Mrs. Patricia Keenan Kimberly of Myrtle Beach; their children, Kathleen Sexton and her husband, James of Houston, TX, Thomas Kimberly and his wife, Karen of Myrtle Beach, Colleen Kimberly of Myrtle Beach & Kerry Freiss of Myrtle Beach; his nine adoring grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Barker and her husband, William of Pittsburgh, PA; as well as all of his treasured fur babies; a large, loving, extended family, and many supportive friends and neighbors.

At the request of the family, a Celebration of George’s life will be held privately.
