George Leclerc Barzee

George Leclerc Barzee, 78, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family at his home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina on Thursday October 23, 2025. He was born on September 10, 1947 in Syracuse, New York to the late Geroge Francis Barzee & Jacqueline Leclerc Barzee.

George was a hard-working man with a zest for life. He was a skilled mortgage banker for many years where he made life-long friends. Following his relocation to Murrells Inlet, George was able to enjoy the quiet life. George spent many days making memories with family and friends and relishing every moment with his favorite people- his grandsons. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish George’s memory are his wife of over 57 years, Ms. Kathyrn Ann Hess Barzee of Murrells Inlet, SC; their children, Renee Faiella and her husband, John of Murrells Inlet, SC, Craig Barzee and wife, Lauren of Johns Island, SC & Scott Barzee and wife, Emily of Charlotte, NC; beloved grandsons, Johnny, Jace, JJ and Jaxon Faiella and Braxton & Tucker Barzee; several grand-pups; sister, Cynthia Rinaldo of Syracuse, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a large loving, extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial for George will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025 at 9:30AM, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Ave. Garden City, SC 29576. Inurnment will immediately follow within the church columbarium.
