Gary Allen Phillips

Gary Allen Phillips, 76, passed away peacefully Monday July 14, 2025, at his Murrells Inlet, SC home.

Born in Highpoint, NC, Gary was the son of the late George Allen Phillips and Mary Kathleen Smiley Phillips.

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Brenda Diane Helms Phillips, his son Mark Allen Phillips and his brother, Douglas Phillips.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Michelle Bowen (Jonathan), Bellingham, WA; grandchildren, Jacob Mark Bowen, Alex Faith Bowen, Zachary Helms Bowen all of Bellingham, WA; god-daughters, Hannah Michele Rummage and Sarah Elizabeth Rummage, Lancaster, SC; sisters, Sherry Kordecki, Charlotte, NC; Susan Rummage (Roger), Matthews, NC; Marsha Thulin (Vic), Clover, SC; brothers, Wayne Phillips (Melba), Monroe, NC; David Phillips (Effie), Asheville, NC; Danny Phillips, Matthews, NC.

Gary loved fishing, hanging out with his fishing buddies (The Garden City Liar’s Club), spending time with his family, and traveling with his wife. He had a giving spirit and loved to laugh. He will be missed greatly!

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Sunday July 20, 2025, at Hillcrest Cemetery, 1000 SC -544, Conway, SC 29526.
