Frank Joseph Martorano Jr.

Frank passed away on September 2, 2020 with family by his side in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina where he has resided for the past 20 years.  He is survived by his wife Joanne, daughters Eileen Inoa and Nancy Miller, grandchildren Nicky and Natalie Inoa and Aiden and Kelly Miller. Also survived by his sister Mary Grace Martorano and sister-in-law Ginny Riviello; sisters Marilyn Martorano and Catherine Jackson. Pre deceased were his parents Frank and Concetta Martorano. 

 Frank originally lived in Garfield and Lodi New Jersey where he grew up and married Joanne. He coached softball and was involved volunteering at St. Peter and Paul’s Russian Orthodox Church in Passaic, NJ, where he was a parishioner. 

 His passion was fishing and when he moved to South Carolina he fulfilled his dream of owning his own boat, the “NicNat“. Other than his grandchildren, his other passion was Clemson football. He was a dedicated fan and followed his team on and off season. Frank was a loyal friend to many and looked forward to his weekly “guys only” lunches. 

 There will be no funeral service because of the pandemic. In the future, when the virus is behind us, we will have a gathering of his friends to celebrate his life. As most of you know, Frank had a heart transplant 18 years ago so in lieu of flowers, a donation to MUSC would be an amazing way to honor his life.
