Elizabeth Luksa Obituary

Elizabeth P. Luksa, age 76, formerly of Hamilton, NJ, passed away peacefully Wednesday April 13, 2022 at her Myrtle Beach residence with her loving family by her side.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Liz was the daughter of the late David and Sally Germain.  She enjoyed gardening, painting and being involved in community outreach.  Liz especially enjoyed spending time with her family and making memories with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a member of the Franciscan Mission Associates, St. Andrews Women’s Club, Right to Life, Freedom of Religion Org. and Street Reach.   In addition to her parents, Liz is preceded in death by her sister, Catherine E. Germain Faro.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Luksa of Myrtle Beach, SC;  Michelle and her husband Kevin Broughton of Highstown, NJ; son, Frank and his wife Maryella Luksa of Lamar, SC; daughter, Theresa and her husband Leonard Prymak of Murrells Inlet, SC; grandchildren, Mirranda Jackson-Luksa, Hunter Luksa, Grace Prymak, Trinity Broughton, Hadassah Broughton, Azara Broughton; great grandchildren, Aiden Glover and Myles Glover; sisters, Clare Zanowick, Sally Yockman, Judith Finkel; brothers, David Germain, Chris Germain.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday May 28, 2022 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Garden City.  A repass will  be held after the mass from 11:30 AM until 3:00 PM at  The Clubhouse at Marcliffe West, Moonglow Circle, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. 

Liz will be laid to rest beside her parents, Sally E. Hasenflug Germain and David J. Germain in New Jersey.

Burial will take place in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick NJ. at 10:30 AM, Saturday June 18, 2022. with a Repass following at Brother Chris Germain’s home.

We would like to extend a sincere gratitude to Stasia Plump, Eucharistic Minister for the homebound, who visited our mother at home each Saturday to bring her communion when her health no longer allowed her to comfortably attend church…your visits meant so very much to her.
