Eleanora M (Hardin) Green

Eleanora M. Green, 87, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Friday November 8, 2019 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was born on July 14, 1932 in Plainfield, Indiana to the late Joseph Hardin & Eleanor (Sterrett) Hardin.

Along with her parents, Eleanora is reunited in death with her beloved husband of 30 years, Mr. Albert D. Green, II; daughter, Barbara L. Miles and brothers, Roy E. Hardin & Joe Hardin.

Eleanora had an eye for fashion and beauty. She took pride in always making sure her hair and make up were perfect, even if just to go to the grocery store. Her tenacity and out going personality lead her to be a successful business owner. She and her husband owned and operated Grand Strand Gold and Silver Repair in Garden City for many years. In her free time, Eleanora loved to have fun, go shopping and relished cooking family dinners. She will be truly missed by all who took the time to get to know her.

Left to cherish Eleanora’s memory are her adoring children, Donna Guevremont and her husband, James of Murrells Inlet, Debra Metz of North Carolina, Deanna Hammond of Virginia, Donald E. Minton of North Carolina & Albert D. Green, III and his wife, June of Murrells Inlet; grandchildren, Larry Joe, Erin, Megan, Nikki, Brooke, Paul, Ali, Tom, Eric, Donny, Misty, Kevin, Brianna, Lexie, Dorian J. Miles, & Albert D. Green, IIII; fourteen great-grandchildren; a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends, neighbors and patrons.

The family will gather to greet friends on Sunday November 10, 2019 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. A funeral service will be held on Monday November 11, 2019 at 1:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, procession will lead to Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery, 2504 S Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 for a graveside service.
