Edward "Randy" Randolph Jennings

Edward "Randy" Randolph Jennings, 77, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday October 30, 2023 at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on November 2, 1945 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Ira Jennings & Rebecca Ferguson Jennings.

Along with his parents, Randy is reunited in passing with his siblings, Jay Jennings, Rex Jennings and Sandra Richbourgh.

Randy was a hardworking man with a heart of gold. His education started at Georgia Military Academy, progressed to Carolina Military Academy and finally graduated Class of 1966, from Myrtle Beach High School. Randy proudly went on to serve his country in the United States Army during Vietnam and in Germany.  Following his honorable separation from the military, Randy was able to enjoy the finer things in life. In his free time, Randy enjoyed traveling the world, especially Europe. He was a skilled and award-winning shag dancer and board member of the National Shag Dance Association. Randy was a former board member of Hope House in Myrtle Beach. Randy was also passionate about his work with Carolina Military Academy including serving as past President, Reunion Coordinator and was currently serving as Treasurer. Randy was also proud of where he came from and was in charge of setting up the class reunions and meetups for his graduating class and his military friends. Above all else, Randy loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Randy’s memory are his adoring wife of over 22 years, Patsy Woods Jennings of Myrtle Beach; step-daughters, Janet Kost (Randy) & Wanda Derrick (Eddie); four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene Jennings ; nieces, Tami Jennings Ramsey(Robert) , Traci Jennings (Joe), Lauren Balaban (Adam); great-niece Emma Ramsey; great-nephews, Beck Ramsey & Berkley; a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Randy’s life will be held on Sunday November 12, 2023 at 2:00PM Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2061 Glenns Bay Rd, Surfside Beach, SC 29575. The family will gather to greet friends from 1:00PM, until the time of service. 

At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations in Randy’s name may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church at the address listed above.
