Edna Bain Obituary

Edna Mae Laing Bain, 99, of Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday April 2, 2021 at National Healthcare Nursing Home of Garden City in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was born on April 4, 1921 to the late Adam & Hazel Crawford Laing in Midway, Pennsylvania, where she lived for 96 years.

Along with her parents and siblings, Edna is reunited in passing with her beloved husband, James Nelson Bain.

Edna was a hardworking woman with a servant’s heart. She retired as an office manager from the medical office she dedicated many years to. In her free time, Edna was active in her community and her home church. Edna will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Edna’s memory are her loving daughter, Marcia Kay Wagner of Murrells Inlet; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Edna’s life will be held in Pennsylvania, date to be determined.
