Douglas Lammon Obituary

Douglas Lee Lammon, 74, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away on May 16, 2026. He was born March 4, 1952, in St. Joseph County, Michigan, son of the late Stanley Eugene Lammon and Eleanor Minnie Tedrow Lammon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd Jacobe Tedrow and Ruth Amelia Tedrow.

He is survived by his ex-wives, Amy Lammon of Sebring, FL and Margaret Lammon of Three Rivers, MI; two daughters, Beth Lammon of Tampa, FL and Debbie Lammon and her spouse, Jay Goodman of Garden City Beach, SC; brother, Bob Lammon and his wife, Tina of FL; two grandsons, Ben and Jacob Lammon; one niece, Lori Lammon; and one nephew, Scott Lammon.

Doug had a deep passion for cars and loved sharing that passion with his daughters and grandsons, teaching them everything he knew and creating memories that will last a lifetime. He treasured time spent outdoors and family adventures, especially snowmobiling trips with his daughters, vacations to Hawaii, and time spent scuba diving in the islands’ beautiful waters. One of Doug’s greatest joys was time spent at Klinger Lake, a place filled with cherished memories from his own childhood spent with his parents and grandparents. He loved continuing those traditions with family and friends and even was able to buy a lake house there. He took pride in teaching all the kids, nieces, and nephews how to ski on both water and snow.

Doug was fortunate to travel the world through his business, but no matter where he went, home with his family and beloved animals was always where he most wanted to be. A huge dog and cat lover, he found comfort and happiness surrounded by his pets. He deeply cared for his employees and took immense pride in building Machinery. Doug also enjoyed cooking and grilling for the people he loved, as well as relaxing with a good movie or watching The Andy Griffith Show. Above all, Doug will be remembered for his love of family, his generous spirit, and the countless memories he created with those closest to him.

There will be a private service at Klinger Lake in Michigan.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Douglas’ name to the Grand Strand Golden Retriever Foundation, https://grandstrandgrr.org/the-golden-donation

The family would like to give a special thanks to Coastal Cancer Center and all of his doctors and nurses who helped take care of him.
