Donna Marie Kodys

Donna Marie (Lescord) Kodys, 64, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Grand Strand Medical Center with her husband by her side.

Born on April 17, 1962, in Gardner, Massachusetts, to Dorothy (Popoloski) and Richard Lescord, Donna grew up in Westminster. She was a hardworking and well-loved employee at Westminster Chiropractic for many years. Later raised her family in Templeton, Massachusetts.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who found joy in life's simple pleasures-spending time with family, relaxing at Garden City Beach, meeting new people, and caring for animals. She was often found cheering on her family at sporting events or hosting get-togethers at the pool. Those who knew her will remember her warmth, kindness, and the ease with which she made friends wherever she went.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Peter Kodys; her son, Kristopher Kodys and his wife, Jordan; her stepson, Kenny Kodys and his wife, Noelle; and her cherished grandchildren, Brooks, Benson, Elle, and Violet Kodys. She also leaves behind her sister, Debbie Ouellette and brother-in-law, Norman Ouellette, and her niece, Nicole Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her niece, Erin MacKay.

A celebration of life will be held in Westminster, Massachusetts, at a date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue (ahimsahaven.org) in honor of Donna's lifelong love of animals.
