“It is with great sadness that the Members of the Coastal Carolina Shields Pipes and Drums announce the passing of a great friend and supporter of the band, as well as unofficial Honor Guard Member Sgt. Donald Tisdall (Ret), NYC Transit Police Department. Donnie could be seen leading the band in uniform many times at the North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade or seen out and about wearing one of his many Transit Police shirts, as he held the largest collection of TPD apparel in the world. His presence will be missed by all. Rest in Peace Brother. Fidelis ad Mortem.”
