Donald Roe Obituary

Donald Fredric Roe, 82, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Embrace Hospice House of the Grand Strand. He was born December 18, 1938 in Peekskill, NY son of the late Fredric Roe and Geraldine Finch Roe.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Marilyn T. Roe of Murrells Inlet; two sons, Steven D. Roe and his wife Stephanie of Battlefield, MO and David T. Roe and his wife Leslie of Danbury, CT; and three grandchildren, Toriana, Rebecca and Benjamin.

Donald proudly served in the United States Army. He later joined the National Guard in which he served twenty years before retiring. He was a member of the National Guard NY Governors Band where he played the tuba. He also played the tuba in several bands around NY State.

There are no formal services planned.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Embrace Hospice House, 175 Village Center Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579 or to Amedisys Hospice, 402 Singleton Ridge Road, Conway, SC 29526.
