Donald Bartlett Peters

Donald Bartlett Peters, 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Murrells Inlet, SC on April, 24, 2024. Donald was born May 2, 1933 in Chester, PA to the late Albert Charles and Evelyn Cheyney Peters.

He was a member of Siloam Methodist Church in Booths Corner, PA, since childhood. Donald was a graduate of Henderson High School in West Chester, PA. He was employed by GM Stull in Chester, PA as an Automotive Parts Salesman, then went on to work at Murphy Ford in their Parts and Service Department. He moved on as Manager at Countryside Motors in Springfield, PA, and finally at Sears & Roebuck Company in Wilmington, DE as the Auto Center Manager.

Donald loved to play golf and was an avid sports fan. He always had season tickets to the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers games. He and his wife retired to Santee, SC then moved to Murrells Inlet where he became a member of Belin UMC.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Ellen, his daughter Jennifer Marie (Michael) Valentine, his nephews Michael Peters and Bradley Peters and his grandchildren, Ethan and Brody. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Mark Gallagher and his brother Alan Peters.
