Dolores Elizabeth Kramer (“The Grammie who loved to sew!”), 92, of Pawleys Island, SC was born on June 4, 1927 in Springfield, IL. She passed away peacefully on May 15, 2020, with her daughter by her side. Dee joins her loving husband, Harry G Kramer Jr., her son; Harry “Chip” G Kramer, III; her daughter-in-law, Sherri Kramer; her brother Rev. William Cull; and her sister-in-law, Virginia Cooper up in Heaven.

Dee is survived by her daughter, Kimberly D. Shattuck, her son-in-law, John Shattuck, her sister-in-law, Dolores “Jean” Ernsting, and her five grandchildren, Courtney A. Shattuck, John C. Shattuck, Kelsey K. Kramer, Harry G Kramer IV, and Chloe E. Kramer. She is also survived by her niece, Nanci Johnson Leach and many other loving relatives and friends.

Dee was an avid and passionate golfer who loved playing, whether in Chicago at Medinah or in Pawleys Island. We’re sure she’s already played a round on Heaven’s Links! She was an excellent seamstress; enjoyed sunning at the beach; and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved every moment of life, no matter what was thrown at her, and handled some of the hardest moments with grace, humility, and a whole lot of strength. It certainly helped that she had an abundance of friends in both Illinois and South Carolina. There was never a moment her smile and twinkling eyes couldn’t light up a room – her love and kindness were absolutely contagious! We know she’s up there snacking on chocolate, drinking vodka tonics (with a lime!), and laughing it up with loved ones and friends. She will certainly be missed by so many down here, more than she could know.

A celebration of Dolores' life will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at St. Paul's Waccamaw United Methodist Church, 180 St Paul's Pl, Pawleys Island, SC 29585.
