Dianne Dreyer Belford

Dianne Dreyer Belford, 78, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026.

Dianne was born on March 13, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, and grew up in Annandale, Virginia, where she formed lifelong friendships that remained close throughout her life. After many cherished summers in Myrtle Beach, she and her husband retired to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina in 2007, a place they were proud to call home.

Dianne met Ken as teenagers, and their love grew into a devoted partnership. They would have celebrated 57 years of marriage this March. Together, they built a life centered on family, friendship, and shared experiences.

Her greatest pride was raising her daughter, Lorrie, whom she supported wholeheartedly—especially during Lorrie’s early years in dance and the performing arts. Dianne herself loved music, dancing, and the magic of performance. Friends and family fondly remember Dianne and Kenny always dancing together whenever Motown played, a reflection of the joy they carried through life.

Dianne was known for her unyielding positivity, her undeniably loving spirit, and her deep compassion for others. She enjoyed traveling across the country, attending shows, and spending time with friends and family through games, gatherings, and laughter.

She was predeceased by her parents and her dear friend Rayetta. Dianne is lovingly remembered by her husband, Kenneth; her daughter, Lorrie, and son-in-law, Jason; her sister, Debbie; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of Dianne, a breast cancer survivor.
