Delbert Ronald Dreese

Delbert Ronald Dreese, 85, of Surfside Beach, SC passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He was born November 29, 1936 in Middleburg, PA, son of the late Delbert Dreese and Mildred Swartzlander Dreese.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy L. Dreese of Surfside Beach; four daughters, Sherry Thomas and her husband, John of PA, Debra Ellsworth and her husband, Terry of KY, Michelle White and her husband, Chris of MS, and Brandi Baucom and her husband, Jacob of SC; two sons, Michael Dreese and his wife, Mary of Washington and Anthony Dreese and his wife, Sue of PA; sisters, Barbara Aucker of PA, Linda Smith and her husband, Tom of PA, and Susan Gill and her husband, Jim of PA; seventeen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; beloved pets, Piper, Lulu, Oliver, Penny Candy; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Delbert was head of the Ashton Glenn Architectural Committee. He retired from Agway after forty years and after retirement he did consulting work for AJ Sackett, where he traveled all over the world for several years. He and his wife relocated to SC in 1996.

Delbert never met a stranger. He was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed spending time on the pier fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
