Debora A. Martin

Debora A. Martin, 72, passed away peacefully with her devoted husband by her side on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. She was at her home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

Debbie was born on January 29, 1953, in Teaneck, New Jersey to the late Geraldine Harriet Bauer McIntyre.

In passing, Debbie will be reunited with her mom, her Aunt Phyllis Bauer Havlicek, and her husband, Joseph (WWII US Navy Veteran).
 

Debbie was very strong woman with a heart of gold. She had a zest for life and enjoyed traveling, shopping and dining street side whenever possible.

Debbie and Stephan met at work, Pitney Bowes and dated for a year. They eloped and moved to Florida in 1987. There, they settled in, raised beloved pets and made many dear friends.

Debbie had a deep love of animals, showing her nieces and nephews the local wildlife when they would visit. They fondly recall how Aunt Bunny, as they called her, could even get tiny lizards to dangle from her ears.

Stephan’s job offered the opportunity for the family to relocate to North Carolina. The family enjoyed the area until her retirement in 2024 when they subsequently moved to Murrells Inlet.

Debbie was a gifted and talented CNA for many years. Her clients were quite amazing. They were judges, artists, CEO of big companies, and they always requested Debbie.

In her free time, Debbie loved to travel! Her favorite and most memorable spots were throughout Europe. On their most recent trip, Debbie and Stephan went to see the beautiful sights in Switzerland.

Debbie also enjoyed being a “foodie,” and reading. Above all else, Debbie loved her family with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed.
 

Left to cherish Debbie’s memory are her adoring husband of over 40 years, Mr. Stephan J. Martin; beloved k9 companion, Henrie; brother, James McIntyre of NJ; a loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors in FL, NC, TN and New Jersey.

A Celebration of Debbie's life will be held privately.
