Dawn Marie Williams-Kogutkiewicz

Dawn Marie Williams-Kogutkiewicz, 59, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Greensboro, NC and Columbia SC, died Friday, October 29, 2021. She was born in Miami, FL to William “Bill” Williams and Nina Ann Williams.

Dawn enjoyed reading, watching movies, blogging and doing genealogy research. She loved spending time with her sweet grandsons. Dawn was a member of the Triad Parrot Head Club and the Palmetto Parrot Head Club as well as numerous genealogy groups.

Preceding Dawn in death are her father, William Robert Williams and her son, Kenneth George Kitts.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Tom Kogutkiewicz of Myrtle Beach; her son, David (Cassie) Kitts of Greensboro, NC; one brother, William “Billy” (Carolyn) Williams of Greensboro, NC; three sisters, Patty (Chris) Lunsford of Urbana, MD, Kathy (Thomas) Hyatt of Greensboro, NC, Susan “Susie” (Jason) Parsons of Jamestown, NC; two grandchildren, two nieces, six nephews and one great niece.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 109 W Smith St, Greensboro, NC 27401, on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 12:15 pm. The family will greet friends within the church following the service as well as at Nina Williams residence later that afternoon. Interment will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery in Greensboro, NC.
