David Earl Holley, III, 41, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April 28, 2026 at Colleton Medical Center in Summerville, South Carolina. He was born on October 5, 1984 in Newport News, Virginia.
Dave had a zest for life bigger than his frame! He was the life of the party and could light up the darkest room. He was kind and welcoming and would offer the shirt from his back to anyone in need. He was an estimator for Stag Partners where he acquired an army of friends. Dave relished time spent making memories with his family and friends and appreciated the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Dave was also an avid Gamecock fan! Dave will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the amazing person he truly was.
Left to cherish Dave’s memory are his adoring wife and best friend, Erin Chaise Holley of Murrells Inlet, SC; sons, Deegan Elliott Holley and Eason Carter Holley, both of Murrells Inlet, SC; daughter, Fynlie Grace Taylor of Conway, SC; his father, David Holley, Jr. of Murrells Inlet, SC; mother, Michelle Albertson Cheek and her husband, Robert of South Boston, VA; grandmother, Tonya “Baba” Albertson of Clarksville, VA; brother, Andrew Collins Holley of South Boston, VA; sisters, Taylor Paige Gokee and her husband, Mike of Henderson, NC and Sarah Anne Pittard of Mebane, NC; step-brother, Dakota Cheek of Gretna, VA; nephews, Braylon Connor Holley and Kolson Caine Pittard; as well as a large, loving, extended family and so many supportive friends and neighbors.
Dave is reunited in passing with his paternal grandparents, David “Mickey” Holley, Sr., & Catherine Sue Holley; and his maternal grandfather, Jack Albertson.
A Celebration of Dave’s life will be held at a later date.
