On Friday, September 30th, David Eugene Heine passed away at the age of 55, in Grand Strand Medical Center comforted by his daughter, Rebecca. David was born on November 19, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York. Dave is survived by his daughter Rebecca Heine, his sister Lisa Heine, his mother Eileen Heine, his father Michael D’Alto, and his beloved dog Millie.
David lived in New York almost his entire life until the age of 40 when he moved to Myrtle Beach with his daughter and his late companion, Maura. While living in New York, David made lifelong friends, played baseball and softball and loved it with a passion, and most importantly, served as a police officer in the NYPD, and aided in the clean up and recovery from 9/11. When he retired and moved his family down to Myrtle Beach, he was able to take up the game of golf and has been in love with it ever since. Anybody who ever knew Dave knew he was the definition of a fighter, some would even say a walking miracle, and he impacted the lives of many in such a positive way. David will be deeply missed by his family, and also all of the friends he has made here in Myrtle Beach.
A celebration of Dave’s life will be held on Monday October 10th, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Anyone is welcome, and for those who cannot make it we will have a live streaming service that you can access through the link down below.
