David Frederick Griffith

David Fredrick Griffith, 76, passed away peacefully Friday May 15, 2026, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC.

Formerly of Lehighton, PA, David was born in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late William Alford Griffith and Helen Lena Rausch.

David loved the beach, but he especially loved being with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother, William Griffith III and brother-in-law, Ray Stone.

Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Griffith; son, David Griffith, Jr., grandchildren, Aaralyn, Maddox and Ethan; great granddaughter, Winter; sisters, Donna Atkinson and her husband, Bill Atkinson and Florence Stone; nieces, Courtney Focht, Rachel Griffith; nephews, Ryan Focht, Mike Griffith, Steven Stone, Richard Griffith, Mikel Griffith.

The family will hold a small visual at 7:00 PM Sunday May 17, 2026, on the deck of the Salty Pickle, 1210 N. Waccamaw Drive, Murrells Inlet, SC.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Courtney for the comfort and presence shown to David and his daughter Deborah during his final moments.
