Daina Corrinn Suggs

Daina Corrinn Suggs, 47, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 4, 2026 while at home with her loving family surrounding her and after a long, valiant battle. She was born on July 27, 1978 in Loris, South Carolina to Ms. Tammy Phillips Suggs and the late Teddy R. Suggs.

Along with her father, Daina is reunited in passing with her maternal grandparents, Clara Watts & Rossie Watts; paternal grandparents, Lena B. Suggs & Leton Suggs; aunt, Patsy Woodson; uncle, Woody Woodson; and aunt, Brenda Soles.

Left to cherish Daina’s memory are her loving mother, Tammy Suggs of Loris; her devoted brother, Derrick Suggs and his wife, Amanda, of Loris; her treasured nephews, Walker and Mason, whom she adored; her brother, Cole; and countless friends, neighbors, and loved ones whose lives were touched by her kindness and generosity.

Daina embraced life outdoors and found joy in the simple pleasures of nature. She loved fishing, camping by the water, gardening, and spending time working in her yard. Whether casting a line, tending to her flowers, or enjoying a day at the beach- she felt most at peace under the open sky. A gifted carpenter, Daina inherited her father's talent and eye for detail, creating and building with both skill and pride.

Music was a constant companion throughout her life. Rarely without a song playing nearby, she found comfort, happiness, and peace in the melodies she loved. She also enjoyed swimming, spending time by the water, and treating herself to an afternoon of browsing the aisles at her favorite stores.

Above all, Daina loved her family, treasured her friendships, and had a remarkable ability to see the best in others. Kind-hearted, accepting, and deeply compassionate, she welcomed people and animals alike with open arms. Her love for animals reflected the size of her heart, and her warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A Celebration of Daina’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be announced when finalized.
