Cynthia Nuckles Evans (Cindy), age 67, of North Myrtle Beach South Carolina died 01 Aug 2025 at Grand Strand Medical Center after a short battle with health complications.
Born in Burlington, NC on 11 Oct 1957, Cindy was a native of Myrtle Beach and grew up working at local restaurants and enjoying the beach. After graduating high school, Cindy lived in Patmos, Greece and studied dance. She was a graduate of Virginia Intermont College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Education and Fine Arts focusing on ballet and choreography. After teaching dance in Myrtle Beach, Cindy earned a second Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Cindy taught third and fifth grade at Myrtle Beach Elementary and North Myrtle Beach Elementary while inspiring students to love and be kind to each other. After several years in elementary education Cindy, returned to school and earned Masters Degree in Computer Science. Cindy retired from the school system after 36 years of service.
Cindy loved working in her yard, tending her large and extravagant rose garden and riding her Harley Davidson Motorcycle. She loved animals of all kinds and her home was a safe haven for rescues. She loved her black lab Roxy and later on her black lab named Luci.
She volunteered with Horry County Adult Literacy Program helping people in community learn to read and be successful in their endeavors. Cindy was also a fierce competitor in the Sand Dune Archery Club. She competed and won several competitions in the Myrtle Beach area.
Survivors include: Dennis Faulk, significant other, Susan Williams (Clay) of Murrells Inlet (sister), SC, Sarah Bost (Reid) of Awendaw, SC (sister), David Nuckles (Susan) of Murrells Inlet, SC (brother) and nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, David Lee Nuckles & Sylvia Eaton Nuckles, Cindy is reunited in passing with her brother, Scott Erwin Nuckles; and her beloved black lab, Roxie.
In keeping with Cindy’s wishes no service will be held at this time.
