Clinton Lee Brown

Clinton Lee Brown, 62, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at his home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. He was born on February 3, 1960 in Georgetown, South Carolina.

Clinton was an outgoing man with a zest for life. His passion for serving people led Clinton be a successful cook by trade. In his free time, Clinton was an avid sportsman by nature. He was a true legend on any pool table. Clinton was a current member of Lily Gun Club where the younger generation affectionately referred to him as the, “Oyster Man,” while everyone else simply knew him as, “Mr. Brown.” In his free time, Clinton relished time spent with friends and making memories with his family. His family was his whole world- he will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Clinton’s memory are his adoring wife, Donna Thames Brown; sons, William “Eddie” Brown & Travis Brown; three beautiful grandchildren, Adam Farrell, Tayen Brown & Alexander Brown; his mother, Willis H. Richards and her husband, Dick; siblings, Barbara Collins and husband, Thomas & Johnny Brown and wife Janet all of Murrells Inlet, SC; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

Clinton is reunited in passing with his father, Edward P. Brown and his mother in-law, Betty Jean Thames.

A Celebration of Clinton’s life will be held on Friday April 29, 2022 at 11:00AM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will gather to greet friends from 10:00AM until the time of service.
