Clarence William Bancalari, 76, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Conway Hospital. Born on February 13, 1944, in Richmond, VA, he was a son of the late Clarence Ursul Bancalari and Margaret Parker Bancalari.
Known to his family and friends as “Billy”, “Bill” or “Red”, Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He grew up and remained in Richmond, VA from his birth until after his retirement from Philip Morris USA. Bill married Janet in 1999 and in 2006, they made Murrells Inlet their permanent home. A God loving and faithful man, Bill was a member of Belin United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing and walking on the beach and had a love of dancing and music.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Janet, are his children, Kimberly Sims (Clifford), Kevin Bancalari (Shirley), Karen Strimple (Robert), Kyle Bancalari; step-children, Janna Evick (Brian), Jill Carter; grandchildren, Todd, Stephanie, Kevin, Keith, Carrie, Cheryl, James, Brittany, Adam, Josh, Savannah, Morrigan, Chloe, Jolene and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Margaret Rose Wright (Thomas), Charlotte Klein (Christopher), and sisters-in-law, Janet Bancalari, and Margaret Ross (Bruce). He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Bancalari.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Belin UMC Building Fund, 4182 Highway 17 Business, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
A memorial service will be held at Belin United Methodist Church at the Seawall Cross on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
