Cheryl Lynn Sanders

Cheryl Lynn Sanders, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 12, 2025 at her home in Garden City, South Carolina. She was born on May 21, 1950 in Thousand Oaks, California to the late Ms. Kathleen Anderson. 

Cheryl was a hardworking woman with a heart of gold and a zest for life. She was a skilled nurse’s aide who proudly shared her empathy and compassion with those in need. In her free time, Cheryl enjoyed the quiet life. She enjoyed time spent reading, traveling and soaking up the outdoors. Cheryl had a love for helping people and animals that brought her to beloved dog, Lala. Above all else, Cheryl loved her family with her whole heart. 

Left to cherish Cheryl’s memory are her husband, Mark Sanders of Garden City; sons, Jesse Deaton of Charleston, SC, Zach Deaton of Charleston, Bryan Pierce of Ventura, CA & Matt Fallon of Dallas TX; grandchildren, Teal Deaton, McKinley Deaton & Jack Deaton; sister, Pat Madrill; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors. 

A Celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held privately.

At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations in Cheryl’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the charity of one’s choice.
