Charles "Chuck" Rumberg Obituary

Charles Edward Rumberg, 67, of Murrells Inlet, SC formerly of Roanoke, VA, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. He was born July 21, 1954 in Sioux City Iowa, son of the late Billy Rumberg and Jean Simons Rumberg.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by several siblings; and his beloved boxer fur babies, Alex, Cleo, Ike, and Lexi.

Survivors include his loving wife, Kendall Rumberg of Murrells Inlet; daughter, Dawn Desrochers and her husband, Matt of Jamestown, NC; a grandson Lucas Desrochers; extended family in Roanoke; many special friends who have become family to him and Kendall in Roanoke and South Carolina; and his trusty furry sidekick, Tater.

Chuck enjoyed spending time playing guitar, having good times with friends, and being the world’s best Pappy to Lucas. He proudly served in the United States Army.
