Carol Ann Burgess

Carol Ann Burgess, also known as Mrs. Bubble Heart, 75, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away peacefully Saturday July 12, 2025, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston with her loving sons by her side.

Formerly of Apalachin, NY, Carol was born in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Orzell.

She was the proud founder of Joy Gems Entertainment.   Through the power of laughter and human connection, Carol was known for spreading joy around her and for putting others ahead of herself.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Campbell and her brother, William Boklach.

Survivors include her sons, Jason (Vanessa) Burgess, Hampstead, NC and Jeremy (Michele) Burgess, North Tonawanda, NY.  She is a proud Grammy to Dominic, Kaylei, Roman and Damian. Carol is also survived by her brothers Richard (Patty) Orzell, Tom (Diane) Orzell, sister-in-law Deanna Boklach, nephew David Campbell, her beloved dogs Punkin and Bailey and several close friends.

A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday July 19, 2025, at Journey Church of Myrtle Beach, 3690 Palmetto Pointe Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC  29588.
