Carmen C. Hodnicki, 95, passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with Alzheimer's on Wednesday September 8, 2021 at the Embrace Hospice House of the Grand Strand, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on July 13, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Anthony Coletta & Lottie Ambruso Coletta.

Along with her parents, Carmen is reunited in passing with her brother, Michael Coletta.

Carmen recently moved to South Carolina from Illinois, where she lived for over 34 years in Carol Stream and spent 30 more years on Lombard. She worked in many offices over the years as a clerk. In her free time, Carmen enjoyed making memories with family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Carmen's memory are her adoring children, Joseph A. Hodnicki and his wife, Lynette of Hamilton, OH & Michelle Hodnicki of Surfside Beach; her beloved furbabies, Sugar & Bella- who are standing guard at her bedroom door; as well as many loving and supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Carmen's life will be held privately.
