Captain Jack Randall "Randy" Moore

Captain Jack Randall “Randy” Moore, 68, beloved husband of Pam Presnell Moore, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. Born on October 19, 1953, in Durham, North Carolina, Randy was the son of the late Anne Shuford Moore and the late Jack Moore.

After his career as a commercial fishing Captain, Randy enjoyed fishing, wood working, working on wooden boats, but most of all spending time with his high school sweetheart and wife of nearly 50 years and their daughters and grandchildren. A big man with a big heart, this loving father will be greatly missed. 

Survivors include his wife; two daughters: Ashton Kennedy (Tommie) and Meagan Potterfield of Pawleys Island; one sister, Debra Persons (Rob) of Aiken; eight grandchildren: Jordyn Potterfield, Jack McConnell, Madison McConnell, Macon Potterfield, Lilly McConnell, Tyler Potterfield, Lydia Farnsworth, and Emma Kennedy; and two great granddaughters: Zoë Potterfield, and Anais Potterfield, all of Pawleys Island. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anne Moore; and his father, Jack Moore. 

A private family service will be held at a later date.
