Candace "Candy" Renee Mejia

Candace Renee Mejia, 28, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday July 26, 2020 at McLeod Hospital of Loris, South Carolina. She was born on August 13, 1991 in Dillon, SC.

Candy had a vibrant personality and a heart of gold. Her love of helping people granted her the skills to be a successful cashier and knowledgeable cell phone sales representative, substitute teacher and earned her insurance license. In her free time, Candy loved to ride the roads and loved to shop. Candy will forever be remembered as an amazing daughter, mother, sister, niece, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Candy’s memory are her mother, Betty P. Mejia of Galivants Ferry; husband, Armando Aguilar Perez of Galivants Ferry; her adoring children, Cristian Morales-Mejia, Fernando Morales-Mejia & Ed'Mundo Aguilar-Mejia; her twin sister, Amanda Suarez-Martinez and her husband, Domingo Suarez-Martinez of Conway,  baby sister, Cassie Mejia of Galivants Ferry; aunt, Sissy Baird and special aunt, Becky Pickett; cousin, Alisha Barrentine, two nieces and three nephews, her adoring friends, Rosa Vazquez, Kerry Maldonado, Brittany Felipe, & Catherine Hilbourn; as well many supportive friends and neighbors.

Family will receive friends on Saturday August 1, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., with outside memorial services following at 4:00 p.m. at her family home located at 114 Sandfield Ct Galivants Ferry, SC 29544.
