C.W. "Zak" Zimmerman, Jr.

Beloved father, grandfather, and friend to many, C.W. “Zak” Zimmerman Jr., born on May 7th, 1947, in Charlotte, NC, to C.W. Zimmerman Sr. and Ms. Marjorie Evelyn Coble passed away peacefully late afternoon on November 19th, 2025, in the presence of family at 78 years of age in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Zak lived his life with lots of love, surrounded by family both founded and blood alike. Serving in the Air Force for two years, he went on to graduate with an associate’s degree in business. Through many fun-filled years, Zak enjoyed an array of hobbies, most notably his love for beautiful cars, racing, and golfing with his friends, as well as an immense love for his many pets. He was a wonderfully resilient and generous person, always there for those who needed him. Many will remember him as a never-ending well of wisdom, strength, and humility.

Zak is preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy Zimmerman, and son, William Shane Zimmerman. He is further succeeded by his two grandchildren, Alyssa Shannon Zimmerman and William Ethan Zimmerman. Zak’s presence in life was profound to all who knew him, and he will be missed dearly.

The family will gather to greet friends on Friday November 28, 2025 from 6pm until 8pm at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. A Graveside Service, with military honors, will be held on Saturday November 29, 2025 at 2pm at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212.
