Brian L. Crisp, 60, of Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away Monday February 22, 2021 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. He was born on October 11, 1960 in Gainesville, Georgia.
Brian was a hardworking man with a heart of gold. In his younger years, he played golf for the University of South Carolina and was a member of the PGA. When Brian wasn’t finding peace on the course, he enjoyed traveling and making memories with his family. Always wanting to provide for his family, Brian worked diligently to ensure he could provide valuable life experiences for his son. He would proudly spend hours assisting with Marching Band, projects and productions with his creative ideas. Brian was a kind hearted man who would gladly help anyone who needed it. Above all else, Brian loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his selflessness, creativity and love for his family.
Left to cherish Brian’s memory are his adoring wife of nearly 32 years, Cynthia Smith Crisp of Murrells Inlet; their son, Brian Lee “Ian” Crisp, Jr. of Murrells Inlet; father, Carlton A. Crisp, Sr. and his wife, Pat of Columbia, SC; brother, Carlton Allen Crisp, Jr. and his wife, Beth of TN; a loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
Brian is reunited in passing with his mother, Betty Sue Dryman Crisp & his adoring dog, Odie.
A Celebration of Brian’s life will be held on Saturday February 27, 2021 at 3:30PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Due to the pandemic, the family invites you to celebrate with them in spirit, by witnessing the service via live stream. The service will be streamed via YouTube and the link will be available 20 minutes prior to service time, within the obituary on the funeral home website.
