Barbara Ann Warren von Stelzer, 75, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and formerly of West Yarmouth, MA, passed away on November 13, 2025. She was born December 20, 1949, in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Samuel J. Warren Jr. and Nathalie Warren Roach.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Peter von Stelzer of Myrtle Beach, SC; a son Petie von Stelzer and his wife, Emma of Plymouth, MA; two sisters, Janet Warren and husband, Errol and Judith Dolaher; and two grandchildren, Autumn and August.
Barbara was a proud graduate of the first BSN program at Boston State College. She started her nursing career at Boston City Hospital after interning at Mass General's Burn Unit. After leaving Boston she worked in the neo-natal units at Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach and Boca Raton Hospital in Florida. Later on, her husband's work took her to Germany where she worked as a school nurse at the American International School. Once back in the U.S., she worked for The VNA of Cape Cod, ending her career at Eagle Pond Rehabilitation & Living Center, Dennis MA. She gave herself to caring for others.
When living on Cape Cod, she found pleasure golfing at Blue Rock & Bass River with the ladies' "Niner's Club", along, with bowling in the wintertime. Barbara had a beautiful hydrandrea and daisy garden at her home in Dennisport where she loved cooking and feeding friends and family; no one was ever a stranger at her table. In the past year, Barbara and Peter moved to Myrtle Beach to enjoy retirement and warmer weather.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose, MA.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Davita Myrtle Beach Dialysis at Mayfair Street for their wonderful care.
In lieu of flowers the family requests to please consider donations be made in Barbara's name to the American Kidney Fund, https://give.kidneyfund.org , the Lupus Foundation of America, https://www.lupus.org/ or the American Heart Association, https://www.heart.org/
