Barbara Ann (D'Angelo) Fuller

Barbara Ann Fuller of Pawleys Island, SC passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on October 18, 2021, at Medical University of South Carolina.  She was 79 and lived life to its fullest.  Barbara, daughter of Salvatore and Angelina D’Angelo was born in Bronx, NY on March 28, 1942.  She married Kurt Fuller on February 17, 1968  and raised their family in Cortlandt Manor, NY.  As a family, they spent their summers camping, swimming, and playing family sports.

One of the family’s favorite vacation destinations was Point Sebago, Maine, where they spent every summer camping on the lake.  This place holds a special spot in everyone’s heart because it meant a week full of swimming, bocce, shuffleboard,  and horseshoe tournaments, afternoon bingo, square dances, arcade games for the kids, and drinks at the Patio Club for the adults.  The family also enjoyed going to the Jersey shore each summer where they spent long days on the beach and evenings eating snow cones, ice cream, and walking on the long boardwalks.  Barbara and Kurt made sure they never skipped the family vacations each year.

Once their days of camping came to an end, the Fuller family began vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where they eventually bought a condo so that they could make more trips to this beach destination.  These trips were spent on the beach, riding the waves, miniature golfing, water parks, go kart riding, and dinners at the largest seafood buffets around.

After their children were grown, Barbara and Kurt retired to Pawleys Island, SC to enjoy their golden years.  Barbara loved the beach, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.  She enjoyed playing tennis, pickleball, mahjong, bocce, bowling, and card games.  She liked to read, do crossword puzzles and play Words with Friends.  She had many friends in the community and enjoyed an active social life. 

Each year, Barbara looked forward to her visits from her children and grandchildren, who she was always so proud of.  During these visits, she loved spending time at the beach and pool, and taking the grandchildren to all the same attractions that she enjoyed with her children.  In keeping with the family’s love of sports, there were always tennis games and the very competitive beach bocce matches.  At night, there was always a game of Phase Ten and everyone knew that Barbara did not have a poker face.

Barbara was a kind, caring woman, who always lit up a room with her bright smile, and fun loving personality.  She enjoyed a good family meal and having all those she loved around the table.  She never missed her coffee in the morning and her dessert at night. 

She is survived by her husband, Kurt Fuller; her children,  Gary Fuller (Shelly) of Odessa, FL, Scott Fuller (Lori) of Oakland, CA, Stephen Fuller (Phuong) of Briarcliff Manor, NY and Laura Kilduff (Walter) of Hopewell Junction, NY; her grandchildren, Trenton Kilduff, Aidan Fuller, Christina Kilduff, Angelina Fuller, Summerlee Fuller, Jade Fuller, Liam Kilduff, and Luke Fuller; her brothers, Robert D’Angelo (Lynn), of Long Island, NY, Richard D’Angelo, of Chattanooga, TN; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend Barbara’s viewing which will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 223, 2021 at Burroughs Funeral Home at 11:00am.
