Barbara Bolton Anderson

Barbara Ann Anderson, 86, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 29, 2021 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on May 1, 1934 in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late James William Bolton & Mary Elizabeth Fitzgerald Bolton.

Along with her parents, Barbara is reunited in passing with her adoring husband, Gordon Anderson and her beloved brother, Joseph W. Bolton, Sr.

Barbara proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years of dedicated service. Following her separation from the military, Barbara was able to enjoy the finer things in life. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was a Catholic Eucharist minister and was a volunteer counselor through her local church. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Barbara’s memory are her sister in-law, Helen A. Bolton of Litchfield, SC; nephew, Joseph Bolton and wife, Teresa of Bonita Springs, FL; nephew, Daniel Bolton and wife, Patricia of Prosperity, SC; niece, Lauren Dacey and husband, Joe of Pawleys Island; nephew, James Bolton and wife, Kelly of Lincoln Park, NJ; niece, Michele DeBenedictis and husband, Nick of Pawleys Island, SC; as well as many wonderful grandnieces and grandnephews; and her beloved parrot, Jose.

A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held privately.
