Arlene Mary Schoeman

Arlene Mary Parker Schoeman, 67, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away on Thursday, March 05, 2020 at her residence. She was born April 15, 1952 in Queens, NY, daughter of the late Vincent Edward Parker and Veronica Slattery Parker.

 In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a nephew, Richard Parker.

Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph Schoeman of Murrells Inlet; step-daughter, Carolyn Pikuza and her husband Geoffrey; step grandchildren, Casimir and Jordana; two sisters, Coleen Baumann and Karen Ferrera and her husband Charles; two brothers, Richard Parker and Vincent Parker and his partner Elizabeth; and nieces and nephews, Laurie Francis, Kerith Howard, Michael Baumann, Jason Parker, and Kaitlyn Parker.

Arlene was known for her true compassion for others. She loved dogs, people, was a great communicator and had a flair for decorating and style.

A visitation will be held Sunday, March 08, 2020 from 2:00-4:00pm at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

A funeral mass will be held 4:00pm Monday, March 09, 2020 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Avenue, Garden City, SC 29576 with Father Ed Fitzgerald officiating.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, especially her nurses, Angela and Doris. As well as Father Ed with St. Michael Catholic Church, and the nurses, aides and staff of MUSC.
