Anthony Christopher Pallon, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 7, 2023 in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Anthony was born in New York City on October 12, 1934 and married his wife Patricia on July 30, 1955; they were married over 60 years. Patricia passed in 2016.
Anthony was a hard-working man who started out as a brick mason and ended his career as an engineer in the nuclear power industry. Along the way he put himself through both an Associates and Bachelors program and his career took him and his family to many different parts of the country. He loved sports, especially the SF Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers and could be found watching one game and listening to another during the high seasons. He could never sit still and was always on the move, at work or around the house. He loved to quote Dale Carnegie and Yogi Berra, sing along with Tony Bennett, and had a really great sense of humor.
Anthony is survived by his sisters Michalina Patane and Nettie Buscher (Bob) and his brother Angelo Pallon; children Anthony Pallon, Jr. (Karen) Christopher Pallon (Leslie), Thomas Pallon (Belinda) Paul Pallon (Mary) and Catherine Pallon (Lyn); grandchildren, Joseph Pallon, Alicia Heber, Jesse Pallon, Joel Pallon, Maria Pallon, Michael Pallon Christine Pallon and Jonathan Pallon; great-grandchildren Carter Heber and Stella Heber and other family and friends.
Anthony is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Pallon, his father Armand and mother Angela.
When asked about planning for his funeral, he said he wanted to be wrapped in linen and thrown off the cliffs of Sicily to be eaten by the sharks. In lieu of that…and flowers, memorial donations may be given to the wonderful organization that supported him with the best of care in his final years. Tidelands Community Hospice, 2591 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC 29440.
The family would also like to acknowledge and thank the staff of the Lakes at Litchfield for their superior care and kindness.
