Andrew "Andy" Steve Vargovchik, Jr.

Andrew “Andy” Steve Vargovchik, Jr., 75, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. He was born April 23, 1945 in Bridgeport, CT son of the late Andrew Steve Vargovchik, Sr. and Mary Devarti LeBreque.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Annie Lou and step-father, Jack LeBreque.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Helen Vargovchik of Myrtle Beach; one daughter, Melanie Thompson and her husband Gaither Thompson of Myrtle Beach; three sons, Brandon Crisp and his wife Hope of Myrtle Beach, Jason Vargovchik of Boulder, CO and John Vargovchik and his wife Nancy of Milford, CT; one sister, Kathleen Streett and her husband Gary of Florence, SC; three grandchildren, Lawson Thompson Brandon and her husband Capt. Hunter Brandon of the 101st Airborne Division, Ella Kinley Thompson and Olivia Vargovchik; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 9:00am Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Hillcrest Cemetery, 1000 Hwy 544 Conway, SC 29526.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Andy’s name to Helping Hands of Myrtle Beach, 1411 Mr. Joe White Avenue, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or to Horry County Children’s Lunch Fund, 335 Four Mile Road, Conway, SC 29526.
