Allen L. Jordan

Al Jordan died on September 7, 2025 in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina at the age of 86.   Cause of death was a sudden heart attack.

Al was born February 14, 1939 in Dayton , Ohio to Lee and Virginia Jordan.  He is survived by his children Tracy Jordan and Dave Jordan. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, June Jordan.

Al attended the University of Cincinnati, married June Jordan in 1961, and began his long and excellent career with the City  of Kettering in 1964.   As Assistant City Manager,  he enjoyed many friendships and projects that helped improve the community of Kettering,  Ohio.  Al and his wife June relocated to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina in 1995 after Al retired from the City.  For the last 18 years, he volunteered and was president of the Greater Burgess Community Association in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.  There he worked diligently and passionately to best serve the Greater Burgess Association and help give the community a voice.   Most of his career and life have been spent serving local communities. Negotiating and providing long-term positive results for the people.   A dedicated, soft-spoken, gentleman, Al was a huge music enthusiast of all types of music.  He left us too early and he will be greatly missed.

Per his request there will not be a funeral or memorial service.
