On Tuesday, November 29th, Alan P. Kipple beloved husband, father and “Pap” passed away at 70 years old. Born to Harry and Marjorie Kipple, Alan grew up in Penn Hills Pennsylvania and graduated from Robert Morris University with a bachelors in Logistics. Alan went on to spend 35 years in the trucking industry, most notably as a terminal manager with Yellow Freight.
In 2011 Alan, with his wife Elena, moved to Myrtle Beach South Carolina and he began working alongside his two sons at Three Ring Focus, a web design + marketing firm. Alan was known for his constant positive outlook and ability to always put a smile on everyone’s face. He served as a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador for nearly a decade and was a three-time Chamber Ambassador of the Year (2015, 2016, 2017).
Alan was a lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan, cheering on the Steelers, Penguins and his favorite of the bunch, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Alan had an affinity for sports cars and classic rock music. At any given point in life, you could find him fussing over and detailing his cars or jamming out to the Allman Brother Band. Alan was an only child but made a lifetime of memories with his “brothers by choice” Mike Mihalchik and Joe Scarpo.
Alan loved his family more than anything else in life. Spending time with his wife, sons, daughters-in law and grandchildren at “Pap’s Pool” and Sunday family dinners were the things he cherished most in life. While there is no doubt sadness from his passing, there is one thing Alan wanted to convey to his family and friends – Try not to feel sad for his passing. He lived a wonderful life and wouldn’t want anyone crying over him. Instead, pour yourself a bourbon, put on some great tunes and smile at the wonderful memories you have of him!
Alan is survived by his wife Elena, his two sons Adam and Andrew, their wives Carla and Nicole, as well as his four grandchildren Jackson, James, Lucianna & Leanna.
We will be having a celebration of life ceremony for Alan on Wednesday December 7th 2022 at 10am at Burroughs Funeral Home (3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576). A livestream will be available for viewing for those unable to attend.
